Are you an introvert? Do you hate having your photograph taken?

lol, according to the meyer briggs i took years ago i am supposed to also be an introvert, though generally i diagree with its assesement of me.

Lol, that also means it would probably be hard for you to be around me bc of my extreme ocd itch to always phtograph my world around us ,
and bc i use the camera as my coping tool in order to be able to feel at peace and be able to process and accept the world around me better.  (considering i take over 2000 pictures a day on avg - maybe even 3000 esp if we leave the house mostly of scenery and landacape, though i do soemtimes include people so i can handle their wxistence and the transition of their coming and going in andnout of our lives)

But i can still kind of relate to you bc As a photographer i preffered being BEHIND the camera.
Though for me i still think the reason is probably purely a vanity issue.  bc Minus a very rare exception, I have rarely liked a photograph taken of me.

But I did finally start being a little more comfortable with being in front for awhile once we started posting some videos and had to start embracing acceptance of how we are.

   But when we first began it also helped that we were making the videos for some unknown audience that i could make up in my head;

but i admit , Now that we actually know some of the people who watch what we created, i admit its actually gotten hard again to be in front of camera-- which may have a small bit of why we havent posted in awhile, though i currently use the excuse that we are having tech issues. Or lack of proper tech issues. Excuses i am sure.

um. BuT please, May i make a suggestion that maybe might help next time a person takes a photograph of you?

Make a silly face.

Be as silly as you can allow yourself to be.

If they insist you look at the camera, only look at from the corner of your eye or glare extra meanly- like at it making a super super mean face.

But if they insist on your taking a serious photo, do NOT look straight at the camera.
in fact, if they let you get away with it,  Preferably dont look at the camera at all (looking awa thinking of some amusing thought instead).

If the photographer absolutely INSISTs you look at the camera and wont allow you to look at an angle away ,then look behind them or at the top of their head imagining something on top of their head.. or off to the side at their ear imagining something dangling from their ear.

OR turn you head at an angle and then glare at them from an angle.

Also concentrate on emotion.. bc believe it or not the camera picks up emotion -- a lot.. no matter how minute it is..

In all of you do is just stare at the camera in annoyance feeling annoyedat having your picture taken, then you end up tsking a horrible photopgraph of you looking like an unpleasant person.
it shows you dislike soemthing but the audience doesnt know what it is you are disliking -- Whtehr its of having your photo taken or if its of just the day or of life.. just dislike or unhappiness about something.

So thats why i suggest the glaring instead or a silly face .. bc both OVERemphasize a particular emotion  .. but when one OVERemphasises an emotion .. any emotion.. whether its made up or real, then in the OVER emphasis, even if its a angry mean glare, then the camera is also able to pick up inner passion and inner spark.

With just  simple annoyance or dislike or irritationof having a picture taken, the camera only picks up that something bothers you but not what.  The spark if inner life becomes more hidden.

Whixh is sad bc the bwst part about people is that inner spark of their intricate introvert minds that they rarely let out (this goes for extroverts or introverts) ..

Basically the request is : next time someone photographs you, allow the camera to capture some of the intricateness of your introverted mind.

Still be disgruntled about having the photograph be taken but please, allow the photograph to still capture some of that inner spark of what makes the human mind amazing.
